About Us

The Children’s OCD & Anxiety Collective is a California-based online cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) center for children, adolescents, and emerging adults with OCD, anxiety, and related disorders – founded by Elena Fasan.

Our Mission

Our mission at the Children’s OCD & Anxiety Collective is to offer hope and healing to our clients, most of whom are children and adolescents, and to their loved ones. We fulfill this mission by offering the gold standard of evidence-based treatment: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB) Treatment, and SPACE Treatment. We believe in empowering all of our clients and the parents of our child and adolescent clients through compassionate collaboration during the therapeutic process.

We recognize how deeply our clients are affected by their symptoms and also the impact those symptoms have on their family members. Because of how disruptive the symptoms of the conditions we treat can be to family systems, we feel strongly that it is important to involve parents, and, when necessary, other family members, in treatment. Our goal is to offer our clients the tools they need to manage and reduce their symptoms and to provide parents with the guidance that allows them to help their children and adolescents to be successful in treatment. The beauty of the tools offered during treatment is that they can be applied to many other issues our clients may encounter over the course of their development into full fledged adulthood and for the rest of their lives.

Elena Fasan, Children's OCD and Anxiety Collective, California

Meet the Founder, Elena Fasan

My name is Elena Fasan. I am licensed in the state of California (LCSW #88083), and provide online therapy in Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, and internationally, in any country other than Canada. I became a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and founded the Children’s OCD & Anxiety Collective because of my strong desire to offer help to young people who are suffering from the symptoms of OCD, anxiety, and related disorders. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found my calling, and I am passionate about the work I do with my clients and their families. What a gift it is to be able to watch my clients become unshackled from the burden of their debilitating symptoms and to see the relief this brings their family members, as we collaborate in treatment!

After graduate school, I received extensive training in the provision of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) while working as a therapist at UCLA’s Child and Adolescent OCD Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program and then at the OCD Center of Los Angeles, where I was employed for eight years. I bring a developmental perspective to my work, having earned a BA in Child and Adolescent Development before pursuing a Master of Social Work. I am also an adjunct professor in the Department of Child and Adolescent Development at California State University, Northridge.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a nanny for 17 years, including during my studies. Being a nanny while studying child and adolescent development offered me a rich education in the art of parenting and the nature of family systems. I am profoundly grateful for the lessons taught to me by the children I nannied and by their parents and for the opportunity to continue to grow as a therapist, as I learn from my clients, their parents, and their other family members.

Online Therapy for OCD, Anxiety, and Related Disorders

It is not only possible, but it is likely, that once your child or adolescent gets the help they need, they will be free to thrive. We are here to help them do just that and to also help emerging adults to thrive, by providing both individual and family therapy sessions.
